A Year On….

It’s been almost a year since I bought my Wolverine MTW Billet Gen2 Tactical 10″ from Hi Capa Hub and even now, a couple of days after my most recent outing in the woods I’m still in absolute awe of what this thing can do. It’s so hard to put it into words. It’s almost like cheating, it’s about the closest I can get. Red dot goes on the target, pull trigger, no doubt I’ll hit the target.
I run it at 1.1J using .32’s currently so I have no MED and I find myself taking shots I have no business in attempting and am landing the BB’s straight where I need them to be. I could easily push to 1.8J and DMR but there simply is no need.

Modifications

I’ve done very minimal mods however could have left it stock and had virtually the same results as the upgrades haven’t really brought a lot with them, maybe minute % increases but largely the hing performs in beast mode out of the box.
Silverback .308 -14mm suppressor – It’s arguably the best suppressor on the market, it along with a low operating pressure ensures the dullest of “dunks” as I shoot.
PDI 285mm x 6.05mm inner barrel – I have a thing, I only shoot PDI, this is no different, did I need to change the inner? Absolutely not but sometimes you just need your head space to be right and this was me doing that.
Maple Leaf Omega Nub – Complementing a ML Super Macaron in 70deg, the Omega just ensures an even pressure all around on the BB.
Silent Industries Hop Wheel – Promising more adjustment, I was taking apart for the barrel upgrade anyway so why not a little bling?
Cheap Red Dot – Basic aiming device.

Future Mods

As I type this, I’ve treated the MTW following this weekend, I do find the stock pistol grip a little too widely angled and would prefer something a touch more vertical, I’ve ordered a Magpul K2 to straighten up and improve the bling game a little, comfort is the aim though.
Heavier BB’s – I’m going to try .36’s and see if they bring anything more to the game, I realistically thing the .32’s are the best balance of weight and TtT though but I have a bag ready to go.
Better Red Dot – There will always be the Vortex itch, it’s a high grade rifle and I use low grade optics currently, it makes sense to match up and use a decent red dot.

Final Thoughts

I’m in absolute love with my MTW, easily the best airsoft purchase I’ve made and 0 regrets.

On to another year of awesomeness I guess. Try some heavier BB’s, try and get my ghillie game up a little, get out there and see if I can get any kills on scopecam.
